Constitutional Law Club

The Constitutional Law Club was established in the year 2023 under the aegis of the Centre for Constitutional and Governance, MNLUA with an aim to provide a platform for public discourse and deliberations pertaining to Constitutional Law and Governance. 

It intends to provide aspiring lawmakers and lawyers an opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of the Constitution by creating a platform where students and scholars can freely exchange their views on various nuances of Constitutional Law by deliberating upon the contemporary issues, the ways of addressing them, it's impact on the society and the people and providing suggestions for better functioning of the government machinery.

Kesavananda Bharati: Its significance 50 years later.

The Centre for Constitutional Law & Governance is pleased to inform you of the 1st CLC Panel Discussion was organised on 10.02.2023. in the Centre of Excellence Building on the topic- Keshavananda Bharati: Its significance 50 years later. There has been an increased debate and discussion in the public arena regarding whether the precedent established by the  Hon'ble Supreme Court in Keshavananda Bharati still holds good today. [To read about the recent discussions regarding the judgement click here.] While the judgement has many records to its name, its significance half a century since its pronouncements is something that our members in the panel seek to explore.
